Whenever I feel overwhelmed, my respite is to always close my eyes and take myself to somewhere calm. And for me, that’s when I’m swimming in the ocean, I truly don’t think there’s any peace like it. Whenever I’m lucky enough to be in the sea, I’ll always take a mental snapshot of where I am and the feeling I have from being supported in the water and gently guided by the waves, so that in times of stress I can replay these moments in my mind.

Aquamarine is a painting that embodies this feeling. It serves as a reminder that we are always supported and guided, no matter where we are.

The original painting is painted using my signature 'Wavism' technique of building up the composition using wavy lines of oil paint. This print captures the texture and vibrancy of the original piece beautifully and looks great as a stand alone piece, or as part of an eclectic gallery wall.

Printed on Hahnemühle German Etching paper 310gsm using museum grade archival inks. This art paper, made from 100% cellulose, is characterised by its extraordinary velvety tactile feel and its fine, clearly defined felt structure. The unique surface texture is similar to a traditional handmade crafted etching paper and adds a three-dimensional effect and depth to the print.
